On November 6, 7, and 8, 2024, the class of 2026 got to experience Alley Pond Park. It was an inspiring trip for everyone, and the class of 2026 got to engage with each other and spend quality time together.
“At first, it was weird to not be with your friends and interact this experience with them” said ’26 Naveena Alauddin. “but it was also interesting to get to know your classmates”
It was a fun experience for everyone, especially to face some fears during this trip! The Juniors got to enjoy this experience by getting to climb some 15 inches off the ground.
The Junior class got to engage with others in their class in a way they haven’t before. Many people knew of others in their class, but this trip helped many students spend quality time with others without technology, meaning no phones!
“It was a fun trip,” said ’26 Emily Ruiz Moran. “We got to interact with each other. The staff got to challenge us.”
During this trip, we got to meet amazing staff members who helped us during this experience. These staff members got us to split up into 2 groups, so each group got to spend time with people that don’t usually talk to. These two groups got to experience different kinds of fun experiences, especially getting to climb different types of rope elements, which many people had thought were scary for their height!
“I was scared, but fun as well,” said ’26 Anais Alba. “I didn’t like how we got to split into two groups. I wanted to be with other people.”
However, after facing some fears many juniors gave this trip a good rate and recommended different schools to go and experience this amazing park and get to meet the amazing staff members in Alley Pond Park.
“I will rate this experience 10 out of 10” said Ruiz Moran
Let’s give a big thank you to the Alley Pond Staff for having the 223 juniors in their park!
