The Super Bowl. Where legends are born, and dreams come true. The Super Bowl is where the champions of the NFL’s two conferences, the AFC and the NFC, face off against each other. For Super Bowl 59, the Kansas City Chiefs faced the superior Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs were founded in 1963 and have appeared in seven Super Bowls, winning four. The Eagles were founded in 1933 and have appeared in five Super Bowls, winning two. Their first Super Bowl win was in 2017 and their second was in 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs are thought to be a great team by many and have won many Super Bowls throughout the years, two of them being back to back (2023-24). Some people think they are cheaters or have paid refs in past games due to scores or calls that were made on the field. The Philadelphia Eagles are an amazing team and loved by many. They are the Super Bowl 2025 winners. Both teams are full of very hardworking and talented players and coaches who do more than some can imagine behind the screen. There’s a clear difference between the two teams and between the fans. Everyone knows that Eagles fans celebrate in an insane way. They climb light poles, pull them out of the ground, set off fireworks, etc. In Missouri on the other hand, The Chiefs fans celebrate with a bit more… decorum to say the least. In the end, both teams are amazing and constantly do a great job during their games.
The first time that these two teams met at the Super Bowl was 2023, Super Bowl 57. That was one of the saddest games I had ever seen as a die hard Eagles fan. The refs took away Quarterback Jalen Hurts’ touchdown which would have guaranteed the Eagles a win. The Eagles ended up losing by a field goal. This resulted in the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl in 2023, and 2024. For Super Bowl 59 in 2025, the Chiefs and Eagles met again for the second time. A game that would completely change history. Either the Chiefs would have been the first team in the NFl to 3-peat, breaking records. Or the Philadelphia Eagles would stop another 3-peat just like they did in 2017 against the Patriots, earning their second ring.
February 9, 2025 the Super Bowl was hosted in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles met again on the field. In just the first quarter the Eagles scored 7 points while the Chiefs had 0. By half time the Eagles had 24 points while the Chiefs still had 0. During the third quarter the Eagles earned 12 more points bringing them to 36. The Chiefs had 6. At the end of the game, the score was 40 to 22 with the Philadelphia Eagles taking home the Super Bowl 59 win. The MVP was Jalen Hurts with 221 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Eagles definitely deserved the win so congratulations to them. Better luck next time, Chiefs!
