This December, music listeners around the world received long awaited personalized reports of their favorite music throughout 2024. Whether it is Spotify Wrapped or Apple Music Replay, many enjoy seeing an overview of the music they enjoyed along with seeing the music their friends and family enjoyed.  We decided to make our own version of “Spotify Wrapped”. Here are some of the favorite songs of The Eagle Express reporters from 2024.

“Hot To Go” was my top song because I am obsessed with it! I love pop! And I love feeling hype when listening to songs and this brings both of that! I also LOVE Chappell Roan! And this song is my all-time favorite from her!!

My top song in my 2024 Wrapped was Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar. A lot of people say it’s overplayed which may be true but people couldn’t stop listening to it for a reason. The beat and lyrics are super catchy, I would even call it the song of the summer. Unless you’re a Drake fan of course…..

My top artist was Beyonce and my top album was COWBOY CARTER. This is no surprise considering she is one of my favorite singers. I loved Renaissance Act I and I even went to the Renaissance Tour. I loved COWBOY CARTER, I’m not a country fan but I enjoyed it. I think Renaissance is a unique project, shedding light on music genres like house and country that many would not have listened to otherwise.

My Top Artist is Drake because he was one of the artists I started to listen to when I started to get into music so I’ve been with Drake for a while. The reason I like Drake is because of the beats he uses for his songs. When I listen to music I mostly listen to the rhythm of the beat and lyrics just add a bonus to it and I feel like to make a great song

Top Song: Soltera by Shakira

My top song for this year 2024 was “Soltera” by the renowned Colombian artist Shakira. Shakira’s video may represent little things that are inappropriate for some people, but it tries to show what it’s like to be near the sea, and people listen to it because it reflects a way of feeling something free inside, with your friends accompanying you and the sun giving color to life being near the sea.

My top song of 2024 is I Should Call by Shordie Shordie. I like the song because of the hook. I like how catchy it is and the SZA sample that he used also adds a relaxing feel to the song. I also like Rod Wave’s album because I feel like he just makes people feel what he’s saying and he talks about real-life problems that everyone has.

Top Artist: Los Temerarios 

It may seem like an old person to hear old Hispanic music but after my dad’s passing a year ago, I started listening to these songs because they were my dad’s favorite artist of all-time. So I listened to this a lot. Now I love to hear about this artist and I am looking forward to seeing them in-person soon!!
