Cobra Kai has 6 seasons. The latest season, 6, came out on July 18, 2024. In this review, I will be going through the whole series of cobra kai and it is worth watching.
Is it good? Is it worth watching?
If you like Karate Kid, the 1984 classic movie, you will like Cobra Kai. If you like martial arts, you will like Cobra Kai. If you want to watch a very interesting story around the characters you are going to enjoy this. Finally if you like fighting scenes, you are going to love the action Cobra Kai has.
That being said, the show has a lot going on. For example, in season 6 is about the looming Sekai Taikai tournament, so they prepare or train for this event. This show is about the reopening of the Cobra Kai karate dojo and the rekindling of his old rivalry with Daniel. If you don’t know who Daniel is he teaches the Nariyoshi Miyagi way and his martial arts techniques. Also he is one of the old students for Nariyoshi Miyagi and he is a fighter. All of the main characters are Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, Amanda LaRusso, Miguel Diaz, Robby Keene, Samantha LaRusso, Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz, Demetri Alexopoulos, John Kreese, Tory Nichols, Carmen Diaz, Terry Silver, and Kenny Payne.
In Season 6, The students of Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang are preparing for the Sekai Taikai which is a martial arts tournament that is very impactful for both groups. After disagreements over their training styles the teachers “Johnny” (teacher for Eagle Fang) and “Chozen” (nephew of Sato Toguchi). They challenge each other to a fight to see whose teaching style is more impactful for the tournament. I believe this season was good because Miyagi do and eagle fang teams up and practice together to try to defeat Sekai Taikai but they were arguing to see what they should teach or like their training styles so this led them in a constant argument with “Johnny” and “Chozen”.
It is going to take you a long time to finish watching. That’s a good thing because you could be entertained by watching the story. But at the same time there are some parts of Cobra kai that The fights often look like a bunch of actors and stuntmen trying mightily not to hurt each other. Which is not good because there post to act like this but it was poorly done.
Personally, I enjoyed Cobra Kai because I like martial arts and I like Karate Kid so for me I had to watch Cobra Kai because it feels like a sequel to me and I enjoyed it. Especially the fighting scenes. They are very interesting and have a lot of action.
Cobra Kai is available on Netflix which is the main form. You could also watch it on YouTube Premium.
As for my rating on Cobra Kai season 6 it was a very good season and I have high hopes for the next season. I believe that this series has a lot of potential when the next part comes out for season 6 part 2 on November 15, 2024. This by far was my favorite season to watch which will increase this rating.
To sum this review up I will give season 6 a strong 9/10.
