Most students don’t want uniforms.
This could be because students want to show their personality. It can also be just for them to show what they have and to show their style. Also, going out to buy the uniform can be expensive. The collared shirts are $14-$15 which is a lot to pay for a shirt that no one really wants to be wearing.
However, I disagree. I actually like the school uniform. I think that uniforms help to save time in the morning and they can keep students as one and unified.
Overall, I think that it’s not bad to be forced to wear a uniform. It does make it easy for students to pick their clothes. It doesn’t take much effort. It really comes down to time considerations and the time that you save by knowing what you are going to wear.
I know that when I wake up in the morning I tend to take a long time to get ready. So for me it helps and saves a lot of the hassle of having to pick an outfit. Waking up at 7:20 and only having 30 minutes to get ready with my mom yelling at me and my brother fooling around, I am often glad that I don’t have to make one more decision about what I wear.
In the last couple of years a lot of changes have been made to the uniforms with things getting a bit easier and more relaxed with the uniform
But I think that the school should make the rules around uniforms even looser than it has been. Like when the school was more so forcing kids to wear ties, we didn’t want to wear them but now that we could choose we see more kids with their ties on.
Students should be able to wear what they want as long as it fits in our school uniform colors. Gray pants. Shirts with a school logo.
And this would mean that they have more options available to us.
They could do something like field day shirts. And while we are on the subject: what about gym clothes for us? Instead of wearing a uniform all day. They should have “sweat outfits”. Even though they have sweater outfits for lacrosse, they should have it for the school. The entire school.
How about a non-hooded hoodie!
We should stick with a school uniform because it is not time consuming. Students will be able to focus on more school oriented stuff instead of how they look.
But no matter what, trust me, we’ll still look good!
