Juliette Flores is a freshman that is excited for thanksgiving since it’s a day she gets to spend with family and get to show how grateful she is for everything in her life. “ It’s one of the best holidays” At her dinner table there will be Spaghetti, Chicken, Rice, and Pozole.
Dulce Gutierrez is a sophomore that doesn’t hate or love thanksgiving. She is excited to hang out with family since they came from Honduras. “ I’m happy because it’s basically a big family reunion.” She is planning to have white rice, chicken, mashed potatoes, and salad.
Brianna Brito is a junior that looks forward to celebrating thanksgiving. “I like spending time with family, friends, and food.” There are many foods that are going to be at her dinner table but some are rice, chicken, pernil, potato salad, and tres leches.
Ms. De La Cruz is a science teacher that enjoys Thanksgiving because it’s one step closer to Christmas. She says that, “It brings family and friends together.” This Thanksgiving she plans to buy food since there is no gas in her apartment. She plans on buying turkey, yams, rice, beans, sweet plantains, salad, pumpkin pie, corn, and mac and cheese.
Melvin Nunez is a senior that is excited for Thanksgiving. “Thanksgiving is enjoyable,” he comments. As a basketball athlete in the school, he has his annual tournament for charity but later is planning to feast by “having turkey, mac and cheese, collard green, and soda.”
